The grainy snapshots from scenes of the show and the moody lighting make it clear that there’s more to “Veronica Mars” than your average teen drama. It’s a detective story (often touching very deep and difficult themes) with a heroine who’s too smart for her own good and too stubborn to back down.

Evolving with the seasons, they still represent a time capsule of early 2000s cool and the messiness of growing up.
