Results of the Poll

Hi, it's a non entry post. I wanted to discuss, or just inform you guys of some changes that have happened as a result of the poll I posted last night, which had a amazing turn out by the by and a lovely discussion in the comments.
Firstly, RPG threads will no longer be posted. Which, before the small portion of you who like them yell at me, hear me out please.
For the editors, it is extrememly hard and time consuming job. For me, when I had first started this community when it had like 100 or so watchers, it was really easy. But now, this community is growing very fast (yay!) and it's become a bit redundant. The large portion of you guys who voted in the poll agreed, and from the comments left in my journal, very much agreed.
We will of course post your new RPG with all the important information about it, but it will be up to you to friend it and watch it. If you want to start a new community where you follow RPG threads (TM me) it's a great idea and you should do it, but it's not happening in this journal.
Secondly the issue of more fics and a wider variety.
This is a really hard issue to tackle. After a really long time of running this journal I still haven't ironed out the specific details. Fic is a very important part of Buffy/Angel fandom, more so than it is in any other fandom. We can't do like
daily_snitch does and completely take out fic posting, because we'd a. lose most of our readership and b. miss out on a lot of good stuff; and we can't do like
hyperion_lobby and only post fics. So we have to do something that's in between them, which is what
zortified said which is make it known to all of you that
1. it's partly the editors own taste in fics. If the editor who is posting that day doesn't happen to like your work, there's nothing I can do about it. It is partly a rec like community, and partly it's not. But we do recognize and understand quality when we see it, and we ask you to have faith in our tastes please.
2. we post only a small selection of the day's good fics. Meaning, yes we could very well miss out on something, but we can't spend all day doing this.
So to make it clear, YES we accept suggestions still and submissions, but no we won't automatically post. YES we will make a very big effort to look for a wider variety of fics and fic authors, all different pairings and styles, and make it something that we look for more. NO we won't post every fic that comes out on that day. And YES we are sorry about that.
Thirdly, I am so happy that you all think we are doing a good job, gives me a warm happy feeling.
Fourthly (is that a word), we don't want to lose our readers, so we ask for suggestions and thoughts. It's important that we keep you guys and we aim to please. So that's what this poll was about, and that's what this post was about. If you have something to say, say it, we'll read it. But please keep in mind the statements above and there are certain things we just cannot do.
Lastly, the FAQ and user info have both been modified and updated.
