Favorite TV Shows (4/10)
Fandom: White Collar
Years: 2009 - 2014
Network: USA Network
With its clever blend of high-stakes cons and ever-switching loyalties leading to unexpected betrayals, “White Collar” wraps every episode in wit, style, and a certain amount of poetic license. But the true heart of the show is in Neal and Peter’s cat-and-mouse partnership.
FANART (mine)

Why I picked this TV show (click on the arrow to read)
“White Collar” is one of those shows I can rewatch endlessly and still catch myself smiling like it’s the first time. In fact, I’m currently on a rewatch loop on Disney+ although I admit that I prefer earlier seasons (1-3) to the later ones (4-6).
This show has got everything I crave—sharp dialogue, clever twists, and cons so beautifully orchestrated they look more like art pieces than criminal acts. Admittedly, some of them teeter on the edge of reality, but I don’t care. That’s all part of the charm and it’s entertaining to watch (and rewatch).
The relationships at its core are also something I enjoy. On top of everything, Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke—on paper, they shouldn’t work. A con man and an FBI agent? But somehow, they build an incredible bond and I always find myself rooting for them to overcome every obstacle (some of which, they create themselves). I’ve written more about their friendship HERE, but in short: it’s messy, meaningful, and unforgettable.
And then there’s Mozzie, Neal’s best friend and clever con man himself, who through Neal reluctantly bonds with Peter and his wife Elisabeth (he usually calls them Suit and Mrs. Suit), especially when he realizes that Peter actually cares about Neal, in spite of everything, and is willing to bend the rules (risking his job, even) to help him out.
Even after so many rewatches, it’s always entertaining to watch these characters catch slippery criminals while trying to outsmart each other. Their separate worlds collided in a gripping way.
Latest News: A Sequel Coming in late 2025 or 2026?
I only recently found out that a “White Collar” sequel is officially in the works, with the original creator and at least three of the original main cast members (Matt Bomer as Neal, Tim DeKay as Peter, and Tiffany Thiessen as Elizabeth). While I’ve openly been wary of the announced BtVS reboot (I just do NOT trust SMG handling it. Sorry not sorry), I can’t hide that I am HYPED about the possibility to have a “White Collar” sequel. They’re calling it a reboot, but with so many original players coming back, it sounds more like a sequel.
So I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for this one!
