Anyway, my meandering point ... is that these people are using the cachet and critically acclaimed clout of the show to lend credibility to their attempts to remake the movie, thus neatly doing away with any need to credit Joss while using what he created. Like saying you invented the iPod when all you did was take an iPod and glue sparkly glitter on it.

My Buffy said that 16 was too young to die, but walked to her death willingly all the same.
